Why Us as Accounting Professionals ?
We are Accounting professionals with over 50 years combined experience. We are prepared to take care of your accounting needs regardless of the accounting software you use. You may ask How / Why? Simply because we are accountants. We do know the Core of Accounting. We do not just rely on a software, we know what actually happens in accounting behind the scenes after pushing that button that says “Receive Inventory” or “Write a Check”. Because we do actually know Accounting Principles and how Accounting works, we can handle any Accounting Software. After all, we excel in our field and take pride in what we do and use software as a tool to validate our work.
In our years of experience, we did fix and clean up lots of books, where the owner did it themselves to save money, or hired a “professional” that fit the budget. Whatever the case may be, see below some errors found in our journey:
Making accounts with outstanding balances inactive and leave it like that for years. Making an account inactive, does not make it disappear- its balance needs to be “cleaned up” first;
Credit Card payments posted as an expense;
Balance Sheets out of Balance – this one was actually provided to one of our clients by a “Professional” tax & bookkeeping firm, which it is really sad.
When you hire a professional to take care of your books and finances please consider some time to research for credentials and experience to make sure that they are indeed a professional and not someone that just read a book about how QuickBooks operates and now they are calling themselves Accountants or Bookkeepers.
When we get a new client, we do look into the prior transactions, get to the core of the problem and fix it. We do not just “patch” fix things. We will then share information with our clients, educate them regarding procedures to follow from now on in order not to repeat the same mistakes and make the problem re-appear.
For new potential clients, we will make an assessment of the QuickBooks file (you just need to send us a Portable File), we will make a report regarding what issues were found and present an Evaluation along with an Estimate for our services.
You are under no obligation to hire us, but when you are looking for an Accounting Professional, please make sure they are really knowledgeable and will actually help you save money. Please remember that services that appear “within budget” may save you monthly fees now, but may cost much more later.
Why Us as Tax Professionals ?
We are an Enrolled Agent (EA) with the rights to practice before IRS.
According to IRS website: “An enrolled agent is a person who has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service by either passing a three-part comprehensive IRS test covering individual and business tax returns, or through experience as a former IRS employee. Enrolled agent status is the highest credential the IRS awards. Individuals who obtain this elite status must adhere to ethical standards and complete 72 hours of continuing education courses every three years.
Enrolled agents, like attorneys and certified public accountants (CPAs), have unlimited practice rights. This means they are unrestricted as to which taxpayers they can represent, what types of tax matters they can handle, and which IRS offices they can represent clients before. Learn more about enrolled agents in Treasury Department Circular 230 (PDF).”
Tax Preparers that are not CPA, EA, or Attorney may only represent clients whose returns they prepared and signed, but only before revenue agents, customer service representatives, and similar IRS employees. They cannot represent clients whose returns they did not prepare and they cannot represent clients regarding appeals or collection issues even if they did prepare the return in question.
We can represent you in front of IRS in cases of tax liens, tax levies, excess tax debt and other matters.
